A few observations.
1. This is all the fault of First World countries like the US hoarding the vaccine. It should have been available to the entire world from Day 1.
2. Medical experts here in the US are praising the South Africa scientific community for quickly detecting the variant and communicating the information to the world immediately.
3. I saw an interview with a South African doctor who treated patients with the omicron variant. She said the symptoms were milder and only lasted 24 hours.
