A Year-End Message to My Readers
Thank you for joining me on this wild ride
Back in June, friend who knows how opinionated I am about politics, suggested I start writing my rants on Medium. She said controversy sells.
Boy, was she right.
I hopped into the fray at a good time. An out of control pandemic. An out of control president enabled by a partisan Attorney General. Hard fought primary battles and contentious debates resulting in a candidate that no one expected.
By October when the election was really heating up, Trump was hospitalized with COVID, and McConnell was fast tracking a Supreme Court appointment, another friend asked me what I was going to write about after the election. I told her that I honestly didn’t know. Both of us were expecting the usual dull presidential transition.
Who knew that we could have a presidential election during a pandemic with record turnout and a clear winner and Trump and his base would refuse to accept the results, fighting to overturn the election right up to the January certification.
2021 promises to be almost as exciting as 2020 with Trump indicted on multiple criminal counts, Biden trying to tame the pandemic and a judiciary that is trying to frog march us all back to the 1950s.
