And that is exactly what is wrong with this country. We have become so polarized and divided, that we have become two countries. We used to be able to get along find with other people no matter what their political leanings. It didn't matter in day-to-day life. Now we judge people by their politics. If they agree with us, they are good. If they don't agree with us, they should be hated and shunned.

I have friends who I have known literally for decades. Their politics are very different from mine, but we have other interests and hobbies in common. We rarely discuss politics. When we do, we keep it civil and then move on to other more pleasant topics. Sometimes things get heated and then we have to set boundaries. It's very simple. It's how I've lived my life before the Republicans lost their minds and how I will continue to live my life until the day I die.
