Another Republican Running for Senator in a State Where They Don’t Live

Is there not enough homegrown talent?

What the hell is going on with the Republican Party? I seem to ask that a lot, don’t I? This time I’m asking because yet another Republican wants to run for the U.S. Senate to represent a state in which they don’t reside.

Why? Can the Republicans not find anyone, anyone at all, who is local, to run? Why do they feel forced to recruit people … ahem, men … who live in neighboring states to run?

Or maybe I’m asking the question wrong. Maybe there are so many qualified Republican candidates that some are “forced” to run in states where they don’t actually live. Or maybe the RNC is just spreading talent around.

So, yesterday I was ranting about Alabama senator, Tommy Tuberville, who doesn’t actually live in Alabama, messing with military preparedness because he doesn’t believe in abortion. I know that doesn’t make any sense. Click on the link for a full explanation of why this makes sense to Tuberville.

For clarity’s sake, I didn’t bring up the hilarious run in for U.S. Senate in 2022 made by Dr. Mehmet Oz who lives in New Jersey but registered to run in Pennsylvania using his in-laws’ address in Philadelphia. I wrote about it
