Trump nominates Matt Gaetz for Attorney General
Trump has been nominating people so quickly that I can barely keep up. They all have two things in common — total loyalty to Trump and complete lack of experience for the jobs he wants them to fill.
Take Elise Stefanick, for instance. She has been nominated to be the ambassador to the U.N. She has zero foreign policy experience. Zero. And she’s about to become our ambassador to the entire world. Other than her fervent loyalty to Trump, she has no qualifications to serve in that role.
Then there is Pete Hegseth, a Fox News host who is Trump’s choice for his Defense Secretary. His only military experience is in the National Guard, including deployments to Iraq in 2005 and Afghanistan in 2011. Other than his blind loyalty to Trump, he has no qualifications to head up the Defense Department.
Trump likes Hegseth because he wants to root “wokeness” and DEI out of the military and doesn’t believe that women should serve in combat. He claims it “weakens” the units. Maybe he should talk to the Israelis about that. Military service is mandatory there for both men and women, including combat roles.
