Biden and Trump Tied in a Poll
And yeah, elderly politicians do suddenly drop dead
Remember that poll from yesterday that showed Trump so far ahead of everyone else that his rivals could barely see the dust from his golf cart? Well, today the New York Times dropped more startling news from that same poll.
Biden and Trump are tied — 43% to 43%. No margin of error shit. Just tied. And neither got 50% or more. This is how excited voters are about a re-match of the 2020 election.
This is serious shit. Especially when you consider that Republicans control more than half the state legislatures and state legislatures are the ones making it as difficult to vote as possible for Democrats and minorities, both through gerrymandering voting districts (which doesn’t apply to presidential elections) and increasing the obstacles to voting.
There’s a big difference between telling a pollster who you want to vote for and actually being able to cast a vote for that candidate.
And then there’s the whole thing about Democrats and Independents not voting or voting third party because they don’t want Biden to run and won’t vote for Trump.
In that case, Trump wins anyways because Biden won’t have enough votes to beat him.
