Biden appointed Garland AG as a consolation prize for not being confirmed as a Supreme Court justice. Biden is also old school. He won't fire Garland unless he does something illegal or unethical. Cowardice is neither illegal nor unethical.

I just don't understand why Garland isn't prosecuting Trump and other big fish for what was quite clearly treason.

Unfortunately we will probably not know until he publishes his memoirs. For now, he is using the excuse that the DOJ doesn't discuss potential or ongoing investigations to hide his inaction.
