Biden Continues to Slide in the Polls
While Trump’s numbers against him continue to rise
It’s a new year. How about a new poll? You know that I am going to gleefully document Biden’s slide in the polls until he either hits rock bottom or bows out of the race, right?
Good. Now that we have that out of the way, a new poll conducted by USA Today and Suffolk University on December 26–29, with 1,000 likely voters found that Trump is leading Biden among Hispanic and young voters. Biden has also lost significant support among Black voters. These are the groups that vaulted Biden to the presidency in 2020.
Let’s take a closer look.
Hispanic voters: Trump has 39%, while Biden has 34%. In 2020, Biden earned 65% of the Hispanic vote.
Voters under 35: Trump leads with 37% of the vote. Biden trails with only 33%. In 2020, Biden led Trump by 24% of the vote in this demographic.
Among Black voters, Trump’s has 12% of their votes, the same as in 2020 but Biden has dropped from 87% of Black voters in 2020 to 63% of Black voters today.
In case you are wondering, the margin of error in this poll is 3.1%, so the results are comfortably outside the margin of error.
