Biden wants to go door to door to get vaccines to people who aren’t able to get to a vaccination center, either because they have mobility or transportation issues or cannot get time off from work.

The second purpose is education. The hope is that the more that people know about the vaccines, the more willing they will be to get vaccinated. Just having a person that they can talk to rather than getting terrified by what they are reading on social media is a big help.

My guess would be that the J&J vaccine will be offered door to door because it only requires one dose. If someone wants a two dose vaccine, they will probably be directed to a local pharmacy, clinic or doctor’s office that has them.
