CBP App Now Has a Self-Deportation Feature
Why be taken away in chains when you can app yourself out of the country?
Thinking about self-deporting? No problem. There’s an app for that! Seriously. There is a feature on the CBP app so that you can let the border patrol know that you are voluntarily leaving the country that you entered illegally.

It makes a little more sense if we go back to the Biden administration. They came up with the CBP One app so that people who wanted to make an asylum claim could make an appointment to do so, rather than trying to get over the border, getting arrested and appearing before a judge to make their asylum claim.
The app was a victim of its own success. It was glitchy and slow, sometimes taking hours or days to get on it and try to schedule and appointment. Those who were successful and able to make an appointment, had to wait weeks or even months for those appointments.
And then it all came undone literally the moment Trump was sworn in as president.
