Chris Christie Tells It Like It Is
His takedown of Trump was epic
I didn’t like Chris Christie when he was governor of New Jersey. He was a mean bully. If you said something he didn’t like, he would tell you to sit down and shut up. And that was one of his milder responses.
But I gotta say, I was lovin’ Christie last night at his CNN town hall with Anderson Cooper. Christie laced into Trump like no one else has since Trump was running in 2016.
Christie was like the little boy in the fairy tale of the Emperor’s New Clothes. So far, he has been the only Republican candidate brave enough to say that the emperor is wearing no clothes; that Trump is to blame for his indictment in the documents case, not the DOJ, that he hasn’t won an election since 2016, losing the Congress in 2018, the presidency in 2020, and seats in the Senate and a few governorships in 2022.
Christie emphasized Trump’s losing electoral record by calling him a “three-time loser” and “loser, loser, loser.” “Loser,” by the way, is the one epithet that Trump cannot bear.
Christie also called him childish, self-centered, self-consumed, angry, vengeful, and vanity run amok.
