Democrats also have this weird tradition of "turns." It's like there's a line of candidates and everyone has to wait for their "turn" to run. In Hillary's case, it was her "turn" to run so the Dems ignored her unpopularity with voters. Or maybe didn't care if she was unpopular. Or were so blind to tradition that they didn't realize how deeply, deeply unpopular she was.
