DeSantis Is Getting Desperate
He is playing the COVID card in a desperate effort to catch up to Trump
Gov. Troll is getting desperate. It’s looking more and more like Trump will win the Republican nomination in a romp, while Ron DeSantis, once seen as Trump’s successor, falls farther and farther behind.
So DeSantis is going for the nuclear option: COVID. Yes, the governor who defied public health recommendations, opened his state before anyone else, and suffered the highest death rates in the nation, is now promoting his handling of the virus.
We all remember what happened, right? Retirees and snowbirds were dropping like flies, but Florida was open for business. It’s how Gov. Troll earned his nickname of DeathSantis.
Would you want to elect a president who is willing to sacrifice part of the population for political purposes?
Gov. Troll is counting on it.
He’s been doing interviews on Fox News and other conservative media, as well as the local media in Iowa and New Hampshire bragging about his pandemic policies. He even held a news conference in Jacksonville, Florida, to promote those policies.
I know, I know. Why would he need to hold a news conference in his own state to brag about his handling of COVID. They kinda know already. Lotsa dead relatives, neighbors, and friends, so I’m not sure that they are so unfamiliar with what happened that they need to be reminded.
But, like I said, Gov. Troll is getting desperate. And there is an uptick in the number of COVID hospitalizations thanks to the newest variant which seems to just laugh at our vaccines and resistance.
A few schools and hospitals have recommended masking again, which gave Gov. Troll the perfect opportunity to remind people why he is against masking, vaccines, and lockdowns:
“I can tell you here in Florida, we did not and we will not allow the dystopian visions of paranoid hypochondriacs to control our health policies, let alone our state.”
Since when did sensible health measures become “dystopian visions of paranoid hypochondriacs?” Well, not to worry, if elected, Gov. Troll … or should I say…
