DeSantis’ New Opponent Is VP Harris
He can’t beat Trump or Biden so he’s going after Harris
DeSantis is growing desperate. Know how you can tell? He’s attacking Calamity Kamala.
How did he get to this place? Well, at first he thought he could easily beat Trump because Trump’s legal difficulties would make him less attractive as a candidate. All DeSantis had to do was out-Trump Trump and he would easily win over Trump’s base and become the Republican nominee.
Instead, Trump’s popularity grew with each indictment.
DeSantis then turned his attention to Biden, assuring the press and big donors that the race would be between him and Biden, not Trump and Biden. Yeah, that didn’t work out either. In the polls, DeSantis and Biden were neck and neck.
DeSantis’ own numbers against Trump were tanking. Donations were drying up. He had to lay off 40% of his campaign staff. He had to do something. Had to demonstrate that he could beat someone.
Then he had a brainstorm — attack Harris. After all, if Biden doesn’t finish his second term, Harris would take over, so the real opponent is Harris, not Biden.
