El Salvador Wants to House American Prisoners
Our secretary of state thinks it’s a wonderful idea
ALERT * ALERT * ALERT Trump wants to send his political enemies out of the country. Okay, he hasn’t said that, but it could happen.
I’ve been sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for this to happen.
When Trump announced that he wanted to build a veritable tent city in the desert in Texas to hold undocumented immigrants while they were being processed to be deported, I thought to myself,
“Huh, a desert encampment would be the perfect place to send Trump’s political enemies along with would-be deportees.”
Upon further reflection, I realized it might not be the best place. Too easy to get to for protestors who could gather outside the gates every day with signs and bullhorns. Not a good look on the evening news.
I’m a Baby Boomer. I watch the evening news.
Then Trump announced that he wants to re-open Gitmo to stash undocumented immigrants while they were waiting to be deported. Now Gitmo is the perfect place to hold political prisoners. Not as easy to get to. Heavily militarized.
Yeah, all those former FBI agents and former DOJ employees who had the bad luck to be assigned to work on Trump’s various cases…
