Florida Immigration Law Causing Workers to Leave
Both documented and undocumented workers are fleeing the state
Today I would like to talk about immigration. Specifically, the immigration law passed in Florida that took effect in July. It is a classic case of MAGA morons not thinking things through.
I’ll let State Sen. Randy Fine (R) describe the law and its intended effects:
“The state of Florida needs to do what it can to stand up to Joe Biden’s open border policy and protect Floridians from the massive cost of illegal immigration. The purpose of the law is to get illegal immigrants to stop coming to Florida and to get those who are here to leave.”
How does it do this? As of July 1, hospitals are required to ask each patient about their immigration status and keep a record of the costs of their care. Employers with more than 25 employees are now required to use E-Verify to ensure that all of their employees are legally allowed to work in the U.S.
