Florida Judge Rejects DeSantis’ Redrawn Congressional District Map

His map divided a majority Black district into four majority white districts

Things aren’t going well for the former Dark Lord of Florida. After his abysmal performance in the first Republican primary debate, his poll numbers plunged to a low of 13%. Compare that to Trump, who didn’t even show up to the debate, whose poll numbers rose to 52%.

And then there was the hurricane. Idalia. The first hurricane in decades to strike Big Bend where the panhandle meets the peninsula of Florida and also, coincidentally, the location of Tallahassee, the capital of Florida.

Could that have been the work of our friend Karma? First gently nudging the hurricane on to its unusual path and then splitting an ancient oak in half, with half falling on to the governor’s mansion?

Coincidence? I think not.

The universe is talking, Ronnie, and the news is not good. Maybe it’s time to crawl back under your bridge. Once you’ve cleaned up the debris left over from the hurricane, of course. Those bright white boots won’t be so white when you’re finished.
