Georgia Republicans Push Back Against the MAGA Crazies

Could this be the start of a new Republican Party?

If you’re desperately searching for a bright spot in this dismal election season, look no further than Georgia.

I know, I was surprised too.

Coupla court cases have been decided, by Republican-appointed judges, that demonstrate that some Republicans in Georgia, including the Secretary of State and the Attorney General, have not succumbed to the Trump cult and still retain some common sense and respect for the Constitution.

Remember the case against the Georgia election board which passed a rule, which made sense in their Trump-addled brains, granting the local election boards the power to delay or outright refuse to certify the election?

Whelp, Judge Robert C.I. McBurney, appointed in 2012 by Gov. Nathan Deal who is a Republican, struck down that rule calling it unconstitutional, against state law, and that any election integrity issues are handled by law enforcement and the courts, not election officials:
