The rats are deserting the sinking ship
The USS Trump is sinking. Know how you can tell? By the rats that are jumping off and straight into the office of the special counsel.
First off the doomed ship (that we know of) was Rudy Giuliani. The New York Times is reporting that he voluntarily sat for an interview with Jack Smith, the special counsel appointed to investigate both the documents case and the Jan 6 case.
I know that most of the people reading this think of Giuliani as the drunken fool with hair dye running down his face, but I remember him as a feared prosecutor who took down the mob which had run New York City for years.
Giuliani, even through his drunken fog, can see the handwriting on the wall. He knows that he will be indicted along with Capt. “I’m a legitimate person,” so he needs to get out ahead of this whole mess.
He dug out his old law books and offered to talk with Smith under a proffer agreement. Here’s how the Times defines a proffer agreement:
