Harris’ Non-Interview Interview

And why it means that I can’t vote for her

Get out your pitchforks and torches cuz I’m goin’ there.

I was actually pretty excited about Kamala Harris’ first interview. Finally, she would give some details on how she plans to accomplish all the vague plans she keeps talking about in her speeches. And I wanted to see if her demeanor was any better than her early, disastrous interviews as vice president.

27 minutes later, and I didn’t know anything more about Harris’ plans than what I had been able to glean from her stump speech. In fact, we all got to hear that speech again. And again. And again.

She didn’t answer questions, she just repeated passages from the same speeches she has been giving as she travels around the country.

Interviewer Dana Bash asked Harris … repeatedly … what she planned to do on Day 1. Most presidents have detailed plans that they are eager to talk about to show the public that they will be working for the American people as soon as they set foot in the Oval Office.

Harris, on the other hand, just kept repeating the plans she had for her administration. Yeah, Kami, we know that, but how do you plan to implement those plans? Which one will you work on first? Will you be signing any executive orders? Calling…
