Has Biden Lost the First Two Primaries Already?
He is not allowed to run in the Iowa and New Hampshire primaries
Oh, that Karma. She is such a bitch.
Remember when Biden repaid the Black voters of South Carolina, who saved his 2020 campaign, by shaking up the Democratic primary calendar and making South Carolina the first primary state? I wrote about it here.
The short version is that Iowa and New Hampshire, which are predominantly white, were demoted from having first crack at voting for Democratic presidential candidates, and South Carolina, which is more diverse, was given the honor of going first.
Needless to say, Iowa and New Hampshire were not happy. To make sure that they fell into line, the DNC said that if they ignored the new order and tried to go first, Democratic presidential candidates would be forbidden from campaigning in those states or putting their names on the ballots.
Iowa and New Hampshire said “Fuck you. We’re going first. We’ve always gone first, and we will continue going first and there’s not a damn thing you can do about it.”
