House Democrats are Taking on the Supreme Court
They are doing their constitutionally mandated duty and reining in an out-of-control court
Let’s take a break from all the sturm und drang of Biden’s health and political struggles and take a look at some happier news coming out of the House of Representatives. A palate cleanser, if you will.
It’s so refreshing to see our government work the way it is supposed to work, as written in the Constitution.
First, there is Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York announcing that she plans to file impeachment charges against unnamed Supreme Court justices after the absurd ruling granting Trump immunity from any repercussions of January 6.
See, this is how our government is supposed to work. Checks and balances and all that. SCOTUS justices get too out of line and Congress swoops in and takes matters into their own hands.
It’s right there in black and white. Or should I say yellow and sepia. For some reason, the SCOTUS justices have got it into their heads that they are untouchable, but if they actually read the Constitution that they are always waving around, they would see that they are not. They can be impeached, convicted, and removed.
