I agree! I’m hoping once the geriatric set (McConnell, Pelosi, etc.) retires or dies in office, we can start to get viable third parties that would do exactly what you said: force senators and representatives to work together to reach compromises.

The elderly people who now control our government won’t ever allow viable third parties for two reasons: they would threaten the power of the geriatric set and two parties is the way it has always been and so it is the correct way.

I’m a senior citizen myself so I can say old people are stubborn and want everything the way it was when they were young. They are resistant to change.
