I agree that the Republican Party has gone off the rails, but I have to respectfully disagree that a familial history of voting Republican means that they can never change. I was born and raised a Republican. My father was a member of the John Birch Society. I was able to successfully shed all of that baggage after doing my own research and making my own observations of contemporary life.
