I applaud you for trying to wean yourself off of Amazon. I have been boycotting them for years. I know that many people scoff at Facebook, but usually there are pages devoted to individual towns. During the pandemic, those pages are full of residents informing each other of which local businesses are open and which are closed, which are doing online ordering and which are not. Being a member of at least one FB page devoted to your town would have told you immediately about your local bookstore taking online orders. If you don’t object too much to FB, you might want to check out pages for your town to find out which of your local businesses are doing online ordering and contactless delivery. Patronizing struggling local businesses during this dark time is a huge help for both the owners who are probably your neighbors and for your town as a whole.
