I remember the Reagan years too. I remember thinking that it was obvious that he had dementia and why did no one seem to notice. You know that I've been saying the same thing about Trump for years. The difference being that Reagan was tractable. He had been an actor and was used to being given direction and even lines from a director, so those around him could just feed him his lines and he would dutifully recite them. Trump's background (and temperment) are completely different. He is used to being in charge. He has never taken direction from anyone. And, as you know, dementia worsens existing traits, so his refusal to follow direction and go his own way will only get worse as his disease progresses.
