I think a firecracker was too much to hope for. His age and his race are what have made him attractive to the Democrats for leadership. They don't seem to be able to see any further than that. Too bad because this was a chance for them to make a bold leap into the future. But I guess they are only comfortable with baby steps. So frustrating.
