I was so naive. I thought that when Obama was elected that we were finally post-racial. I was shocked at the hatred and racism my fellow Americans have displayed since then.

I agree with your analysis up until the point where you state that if Trump wins we will have a long climb back to democracy. I believe that if Trump wins, our democracy will die and we will be left with a fascist dictatorship.
