It’s happenin’. It’s not enough to prevent women from obtaining abortion care. Now they want to prevent women from leaving to obtain abortion care elsewhere.

What kind of a world are we living in?

Idaho, which has gone all medieval in its laws governing women’s conduct, is considering a bill that would make it illegal to transport a pregnant minor, against their parents’ wishes or without their knowledge, within the state to obtain abortion care.

You know and I know that this is the first step down a slippery slope that ends with pregnant women being prevented from leaving the state to obtain abortions.

And it won’t just be Idaho.

The red states are locked in a one-upmanship contest to see who can be the most restrictive of women and people of color’s rights. When one passes a law, the other red states pass similar laws that are tougher. It’s all “go big or go home” and so far no one has gone home.

Meanwhile, it’s women and POC who are suffering.

Let’s dig into this proposed law.
