I’m a big fan of following one’s passion. When I was laid off from my last IT job a few years ago, I knew that no one would hire due to my age so I struck off on my own. I’m a Master Gardener specializing in herbs. I now teach herb gardening, manage two public herb gardens, maintain my own website on herbs, write general gardening articles for a website and work part time as a gardener. I make a lot less money than I did in IT but I’m happier than I’ve ever been.
