I'm assuming that you are not reading on your phone. Most people reading Medium articles are reading them on their phones. Long paragraphs become huge blocks of text that are difficul to read on a small phone screen.

I keep my paragraphs short to make my articles easier to read on a cell phone. Out of the thousands of people who have read my articles, yours is the first and only complaint.
