I’m sorry. I wasn’t clear. I wasn’t arguing that states shouldn’t be regulating immigration. My argument was that as it stands now, the federal government, for better or worse, is responsible for immigration and the Constitution says that states cannot override federal laws. Texas and Florida are in violation of the Constitution because they are overriding federal laws.
