A woman was murdered for getting an abortion
It’s always Texas.
Always.
Not content with outlawing abortion after six weeks and putting bounties on the heads of women who are seeking abortions, women in Texas are now being killed for obtaining abortion care in other states.
I. Kid. You. Not.
On Wednesday, May 10, Gabriella Gonzalez was shot dead in a parking lot in Dallas, Texas, by her boyfriend. She had just returned from Colorado, where she had had an abortion.
Her boyfriend was unhappy with her having an abortion and first tried to choke her, and when she fought him off, shot her multiple times.
Just because he didn’t agree with her decision to have an abortion.
Now, I’m all for including the father of a fetus in the decision of whether or not to terminate a pregnancy, but for God’s sake, if you disagree with the mother’s decision, divorce her if she is your wife, or break up with her if she is your girlfriend.
Don’t kill her.
The sad part is that this is not just a result of banning abortion. It’s about the lack of gun laws allowing Texans to purchase and carry firearms anywhere with…
