Trump is increasingly unfit for office
The US is expanding at an alarming rate. First it was Trump trying to strong-arm Denmark into handing over Greenland. Then it was his casual references to Canada as the 51st state. In his inaugural address, Trump affirmed that we would be taking back the Panama Canal.
Now he is adding Gaza to the list of territories that he plans to acquire for no money down. At a press conference after his meeting with Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House, Trump announced that the Palestinian residents of Gaza would be moved to Egypt and Jordan and then the United States would clear the rubble and rebuild Gaza into the “Riviera of the Middle East.”
While the rest of the world went into an uproar over this, I actually understood what Trump was talking about. In his addled brain, he envisioned clearing and rebuilding Gaza on the American taxpayer’s dime while licensing his name on every single building in the territory.
This way, he can get someone else to pay for the clearing and building, while he profits from it thanks to the licensing fees. His company will make money off this new resort and high-tech business district even after he leaves office after his second or third term.
