I've talked with a few MAGA cultists and I suspect a lot of it is due to the US abysmal education system. No one seems to learn anything anymore. The ignorance is appalling. When I ask about facts about simple stuff like how the government works or what the Constitution says, they tell me it wasn't taught in their schools so all they know about it is what they see on Fox and what Trump says.
