Dammit! He’s done it again. Gotten away scot free, no consequences for committing crimes. Instead, he got elected president.

You know who I’m talking about.

Jack Smith has filed to drop both the election interference case and the documents case against Trump. Trump’s strategy of delay, delay, delay worked. His attorneys managed to drag out the proceedings long enough for Trump to be re-elected and become untouchable.

Justice Department policy says that sitting presidents can’t be prosecuted. Something about not interfering with their duties as president. In Trump’s case, that means not interfering with his golf games. He doesn’t do much presidenting.

And then there is the little matter of the Supreme Court ruling that actions taken as part of those presidential duties render the president immune from prosecution.

Which somehow became riling up a crowd to invade the Capitol and cause multiple deaths cannot be prosecuted because Trump was president when he did it. I’m pretty sure that the job description for American president does not include causing riots and homicide.
