Judge Aileen Cannon Is Considering a Mid-November Trial Date For the Documents Trial
She is worried that Trump’s lawyers won’t have enough time to prepare
Judge Aileen Cannon is the gift that keeps on giving. At least for me. I’ve been writing about her since August 2022 when she was randomly assigned the civil case involving the documents Trump stole when he left the White House. Then she was randomly assigned the criminal case involving those same documents that Trump stole when he left White House.
She is a Trump appointee and has consistently given him everything that he has asked for starting with a special master to sort through all the documents and determine, which if any, should be returned to him. Besides wanting “his” documents back, this effectively slowed the case to a crawl, which is what Trump wants most.
Until the DOJ appealed the decision and Cannon was overruled. Oh, well, better luck next time, Aileen. And, as luck would have it, there was a next time when she was randomly assigned the criminal case against Trump involving the documents that he stole when he left the White House.
In case you haven’t noticed, I just love saying “the documents that he stole when he left the White House” cuz it was theft…
