Katie Porter is Running For CA Governor
As long as Kamala Harris doesn’t run
I’ve been deeply immersed in the governor’s race here in New Jersey. The primary is in June. The New Jersey governor’s race is an off-year election and is closely watched as an indicator of how the midterm elections may go.
I’ve even been taking calls from pollsters. I hate polling questions. They take too long cuz they have to read all the possible answers Every. Single. Damn. Question. Who has time for that?
Well, I do now because I have a favorite candidate (Mikie Sherrill) and I’m doing everything I can to help her get elected. Including those inconveniently timed calls from total strangers wanting my opinion on the candidates and the issues.
Well, an announcement from California has split my attention. I’m now following two governor’s races: Katie Porter is running for governor in California!
I love Katie Porter and her whiteboard. Watching her make officious men squirm with embarrassment during House hearings was must-see TV. She had “senator” written all over her.
And then someday, dare I hope, president? Can you imagine her whiteboarding Putin? I’d pay to see that.
