MAGA Mike Wants to Take Money From the IRS to Pay For Funding for Israel
Because protecting the wealthy from taxes is more important than helping our allies
Hey, remember when I was writing about MAGA Mike and said:
“Just getting through the rest of this Congress will be an exercise in insanity. Already Johnson is trying to split up Biden’s funding request for Israel and Ukraine. He’s okay with sending money to Israel, but like most Republicans, he is against any funding for Ukraine.
Biden had a stern talk with him and Johnson caved. Sort of. He says now that Republicans won’t ‘abandon’ Ukraine, they just want clarification on Biden’s strategy. Which is MAGA-speak for ‘we aren’t gonna budge on this issue, we’re just gonna keep stringing you along.’”
Believe it or not, it got worse. Johnson has introduced his bill, and as he promised, it contains only money for Israel to the tune of $14.5 billion. The additional $61 billion in aid that Biden requested for Ukraine and Taiwan has magically disappeared.
