McCarthy Loses His Job, Pelosi Loses Her Office, and Gaetz Loses His Mind

What just happened in the House of Representatives? Wait, that’s a stupid question. We’ve all been predicting this exact event since that fateful week in January when it took 15 ballots to elect Kevin McCarthy to his dream job of Speaker of the House.
Kev’s biggest mistake when he willingly subjected himself to that humiliation was that he thought he could govern afterwards. Ya know, do shit like reach a debt ceiling agreement with a Democratic president or negotiate a continuing resolution with House Democrats to keep the government open.
He figured all he had to do was just throw some red meat, like a Biden impeachment investigation, to the rabid wolves of the Freedom Caucus to keep them satisfied, and all would be fine.
But rabid wolves don’t work like that. They aren’t interested in governing. They just want to burn everything down. They thrive on chaos. And they elected McCarthy as Speaker expecting to be his puppet master.
When McCarthy rebelled, they removed him.
