Most of the weirdos seem to be Republican extremists. The extremist wing of the party seems to attract them. I think that the reason that we are seeing more of them is that the extremist wing of the Republican Party is ascendant. Once interest and support start to wane, I'm pretty certain that we will see fewer of these weirdos.
