My point is that potential immigrants don’t realize that. Messages about immigration get garbled once they get outside the country. In one of my articles, I compared it to the game “telephone” which if you are not familiar with it is where people sit in a circle and whisper a phrase in the next person’s ear. By the time the message gets back to the originator, it is completely different from the original phrase. That is what is happening with information about immigration to the US. I have also advocated that our leaders communicate our immigration rules on social media in other countries so that the message is clear and not garbled. People hear what they want to hear. That is the problem here.
