She needs to keep her opinions to herself

Okay, you all know that I absolutely detest Nancy Pelosi. I was hoping when she finally gave up her position as Speaker/House Minority Leader to her handpicked successor, Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.), she would quietly fade into the background and stopping pissing me off.

Dream on, Caren. Nancy is apparently still controlling Jeffries and when he manned up and made a decision that she disagreed with, she went public with her displeasure.

A little background. House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) has invited Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to address a joint session of Congress. Republicans are united in their support of Israel and the war against Hamas.

Democrats are divided. Some support Israel, but not Netanyahu, while others are against the war with Hamas. Jeffries and Chuckie Schumer, the completely ineffective Senate Majority Leader who also hails from New York, put their heads together and decided to go along with Johnson’s decision since Israel is an ally no matter what you think about its war monger prime minister.

Normally, when Congressional leaders make an unpopular decision like that, the rest of their party falls into line, keeping their misgivings to themselves.
