New Poll Shows Trump Trouncing Biden
Biden also loses to DeSantis in the same poll
Okay, boys and girls, we are getting a taste of what the 2024 campaign for the presidency is going to look like. There will be polls galore. Each one canceling out the one before or even the same poll taken on different days canceling out the previous one.
You know how much I love polls, but after the seesaw polls that I am expecting, I may lose that affection.
At least for a while.
So, let’s take a look at the poll that set me off today. I’m afraid that it’s bad news for those of you who are expecting that Trump’s legal troubles will knock him out of the race. Turns out, his legal problems aren’t deterring voters.
Up until now, Biden has had a slight lead over Trump in the polls, right? And now Trump is all over the news with a criminal indictment and a civil trial, both in New York. Jack Smith, the special counsel investigating both the case against Trump and the classified documents as well as his role in the January 6 insurrection, has issued new subpoenas for the staff at Mar-a-Lago.
And yet, according to the new Washington Post/ABC News poll, 20% of voters who think that Trump was rightfully indicted on criminal charges in New York…
