Nikki Haley’s Breath of Fresh Air
None of Trump’s bluster. Just articulate answers to softball questions
I wasn’t planning on watching Nikki Haley’s town hall on CNN last night. She has a snowball’s chance in hell of winning the nomination. This is the Republican Party. White men only.
Sure, she looks good on the debate stage. Republicans like to pretend that they are for diversity. And with Haley, you get a two-fer: she’s a woman and a POC.
But the nomination? Nah. Mike Pence has a better chance of being the nominee than she does.
But then there was that little kerfuffle a few days ago when she “misspoke” and said that we needed to align with Russia.
Oops.
I’m sure it’s a leftover from her days at the U.N. That must have been a nightmare job. Representing Trump at the U.N.
Okay, she was representing the U.S., not Trump, but he had that whole “L’État c’est moi” thing going on, so the reality was that she was representing Trump.
Anyhoo, I thought I would give her a look and tuned in. And was pleasantly surprised. I can’t believe that I am actually agreeing with a Republican voter who said that she was a breath of fresh air.
