Of course! McCarthy has spent weeks trying to demonstrate that he has the skills and knowledge to be Speaker of the House and yet the minute he is confronted with a simple question, he turns tail and runs. Thus completely negating all of the time and effort he has put into "proving" his leadership skills.

I don't think that anyone, especially a major political party, wants to be led by a coward which is what McCarthy was showing.
