Republicans Are Suddenly All About Access to the Pill
They are trying to distract from their restrictions on abortion
Ya gotta keep an eye on those Republicans. They’re a sneaky bunch. Take the abortion issue, for instance. Everybody knows that it’s going to be huge in the 2024 election. Democrats are counting on it to win back the House and increase their majority in the Senate.
So, what’s a good god-fearing, fetus-protecting Republican to do? The same thing a good magician does: sleight of hand. Distract the audience with one hand so they don’t notice what’s going on with the other.
Yup, the Republicans are suddenly all about access to contraception. They have introduced legislation to ensure that every woman in America can get her hands on birth control pills.
Why birth control pills? Because IUDs prevent the fertilized egg from implanting in the uterus resulting in a … gasp … abortion.
They actually don’t, but I’ve covered that elsewhere and today we are talking about Republicans and birth control pills.
Birth control pills are acceptable to god-fearing, fetus-protecting Republicans because they prevent fertilization of eggs. Their belief is that life begins at fertilization. So, no…
