So Medium doesn't want any political writers? Politics is fast moving and constantly changing. Daily or even hourly. So writing about politics is a series of quick, hot takes.

If a writer writes about politics the way Medium wants all their content written, then the author has to agonize over it for a week or two, get accepted into a publication, then go back and forth with an editor for another week or two, and then finally get published. By then, the topic that they are writing about is stale and no one wants to read it.

My readers come to me because they want my reaction to whatever is happening in the political world NOW, not a month from now in a ten minute read.

Medium either has to make an exception to their rules for political writers or kiss all of their political writers goodbye.
