Pennsylvania Republicans want to limit mail ballots
Remember the 2020 election? There was a pandemic raging. Anyone with even an ounce of common sense avoided crowds so a lot of voting was down by mail.
Here in New Jersey, the state government sent mail ballots to everyone. To encourage New Jerseyans to vote by mail, the state also shut down most polling places. Drop boxes were everywhere. There was even a webpage listing every location that had a drop box.
Trump, who is still living in the 50s, strongly objected to mail ballots. He wanted everyone to vote in-person on Election Day. Just like the good ol’ days. His MAGA morons followed his lead and headed to the polls on election day. Most Democrats voted by mail.
Which led to the very interesting but predictable phenomena of Trump winning the in-person vote while Biden carried the day with mail ballots. Trump, of course, demanded that only in-person ballots be counted and demanded that vote counts, including the mail ballots, be stopped after the polls closed and those votes had been tallied.
None of this counting ballots for days after Election Day just cuz they had been postmarked by election day. No sirree Bob, if someone couldn’t get their ass to their local polling place on Election Day, they didn’t deserve…
