Texas Doctor Says 9-Year Old Victims of Rape and Incest Should Give Birth
What the hell is going on in Texas?
Today, I was going to discuss Nikki Haley and her latest flip flop. Honestly, she flip-flops around more than a fish out of water. But my attention and my outrage were instead drawn to that medieval state known as Texas.
You know the one. Abortion isn’t just banned, there are bounties on the heads of women seeking abortion care, the doctors who provide the care, even the hapless people who drive women to the clinics. You just know that the next step will be checkpoints on the borders of neighboring states to prevent women from leaving Texas to obtain abortion care.
So, after making it impossible for women to get an abortion even if their lives are in danger because their physicians are too frightened to operate, Texas has set up a committee to study the effects of the draconian law on the maternal death rate. And you will never guess who they appointed to the committee.
